Player Spotlight: Andrea D!

Posted by

Today we meet Andrea, who has graciously accepted her part in answering ten questions! Without giving away too much, let’s just say she’s fun, smart and has her priorities in the right place.

1. When did you discover Solitaire TriPeaks?

I’m not sure but it was quite a while ago

2. Who is your favorite Solitaire TriPeaks Character?

I don’t really have a favorite, but if I have to choose one it would be Tiki!

3. What’s your favorite Booster?

Bomb Defuser

4. Are you in a Club? If so, which one?

5. What’s something you wish you knew when you first started playing?

That there is a lot more to the game than just trying to clear the boards.

6. Coffee, Tea or Other?

Other – Dr. Pepper (though I do enjoy an occasional sweet tea – I live in the South after all!)

7. What tropical destination would you love to visit?

Florida Keys, as they were before they were hit by Hurricane Irma

8. Who is your hero or heroine?

My (now deceased) husband, for how he took care of me and everything else when I was suddenly paralyzed from the waist down for 5 months in 2011-2012, the result of a rare autoimmune disease.

9. Do you have a hobby or something you enjoyed as a child that you still enjoy today? What is it?

Classical music – I actually spent 3 years in college as a music education and clarinet performance major right out of high school, and while health problems keep me from playing anymore, music will always be a very important part of my life.

10. Is there something you’d like to say to the Solitaire TriPeaks Community? If so, what?

I encourage everyone to consider the social aspects of the game and not just the technical part (tributes/perks/points/etc). In fact, it is because of my amazing team that I continue to remain as active of a player as I am.

Are you or your Club interested in being highlighted in the Player or Club Spotlight? If so, send an email to:

  1. God bless you Andrea I’m glad you were able to walk again
enjoy your holidays I hope that there a lot of happiness for you 2 enjoy after all you’ve gone through
    God bless your heart

  2. Thank you sharing and agree with this wonderful spotlight choice Andrea.. I truly believe the social interaction is the best key in this game. I’ve met great people even in other clubs as myself. Thank for the gray game. Whether or not there’s imperfections, nothing is perfect. But what we get is a great game with awesome people from around this world.

Again bravo on this spotlight pick Andrea

  3. Glad you are better. Its very inspiring to hear how hard you push on with what you enjoy, even with your autoimmune disease.. Yes this game is fun and I enjoy it,but as you said its Nothing without your Team.:) 🙂 I Love My Team Also. Take Care and Merry Christmas.

  4. Andrea, we’re so much alike! I too am from the south ( South Louisiana). I played clarinet in the college band and I do still play occasionally. I like just about all genre of music but classical is one of my favorites. I haven’t had the pleasure of much social contact in the game. Not too sure how that works. I do enjoy playing the game and the different challenges. It is nice to meet someone I can relate to and know that it’s not just the computer generating other players.

  5. Great choice for player spotlight. You’re an inspiration Andrea and sound like you are a strong woman. I too wish I knew there was more to this game than just clearing the boards or passing the levels when starting this journey with Tripeaks. I would have played so much more differently. Regardless i love this game and glad to hear you do as well. GOD BLESS !♡
