Club Spotlight: Susan’s!

Posted by

In what is a first, this nomination for Club Spotlight is no longer a part of this Club! She’s now the Co-Leader of an off-shoot Club called Susans Islands, but her write-up was so great, we had to post it. Plus we couldn’t resist poking a little fun at the potentially tone deaf Bob.

1. What is the name of your Club, and who is your Club Leader?

Susan’s. Susan M. is our Club Leader.

2. And who is your Club Co-Leader?

Club Co-Leader is Stephanie.

3. How long has your Club been around?

Our Club has been around since August, 2016! Impressive, right?

4. What’s your motto?

Not really our motto, but we have such a talented musical group (“How would you know that?” you ask. Read on and you will find out!), we feature someone’s favorite song every event. This week’s song is “Stranger in Moscow” by Michael Jackson.

Thumbs up for Susan’s!

5. What, besides the game do you discuss in the chat channel?

Here’s the answer you’ve been waiting for! Our favorite chat time is after the six perks are finished and we are waiting for the Special Perk; that’s when the fun begins. It’s usually started by Bob; he just breaks out in song, verse by verse. It’s almost like Name That Tune. It’s also probably why we have a song featured every week instead of a motto. He’s probably really tone deaf, but in our heads, it sounds great!

6. What are some things you all have in common?

There is real camaraderie in this Club. It’s not just a game. It’s a place to learn about each other and we all generally care about one another.

7. How would you describe your strategy?

We all like to get that Gold Tiki as soon as we can because it is so helpful in winning and getting the six Perks completed as soon as possible so we can move on to the Special Perk and get as close to Number One as we can. We have a ways to go, but we are a competitive team and we have fun trying to get there, even if we never do!

8. Who’s the hardest working Club Member?

We are a hard working team, but Susan is most definitely the hardest working person. Attempting to keep everyone happy is probably her most difficult task. That brings a quote by John Lydgate to mind: “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”. But I would have to say she does an excellent job at it. She also anticipates peoples needs. As an example: In light of the Fourth of July Holiday, there were no minimums required for the event so that we could relax and spend time enjoying it with family and friends.

9. Who’s the funniest?

There are so many funny people in this club, it’s hard to pick one, but when Bob gets started; he gets everyone else going as well. Laughter is contagious, even in the written word.

10. Is there something you’d like to say to the Solitaire TriPeaks Community? If so, what?

Yes, thank you for creating a game and atmosphere where people from across the world can unite as one entity.
