New “California Consumer Privacy Act” (CCPA) Goes Into Effect on 1/1/2020

Hello Solitaire TriPeaks Players,

You may have noticed a new message when you log into the game regarding privacy and personal information.

We understand that these notifications have caused some alarm for people who were not expecting them.

These messages stem from the California Consumer Privacy Act that goes into effect on January 1, 2020. In order for companies to be compliant with the new law, they need to ensure that you’re aware what personal information is collected, why we collect it, and who we share it with. These items are all addressed in our revised Privacy Policy.

The first thing to know is that Solitaire TriPeaks is not collecting any more data than we used to, and we’re not doing anything more with it than we used to.  We’re just making sure you’re aware of the above items.

We are also erring on the side of protecting your TriPeaks privacy and personal data. For us, that means we want to be certain that we (and more importantly, our partners) are managing the data we share with them in the way we feel the law is intended, and if not, we would rather not collect it – which means, for now, you may not be able to play the game.

Here are a few other things that apply to games like ours:

We hope this clears up some of the concern around the CCPA messaging.
