Meet the latest stars of the Sanctuary: Hippos! Players can now care for these lovable lagoon loungers, decorate their riverside habitat, and earn tons of fun rewards along the way. It’s time to dive in and help your new companions feel right at home.
WHERE TO FIND YOUR HAPPY HIPPOS
Look for the Animal Sanctuary icon on your home screen, just to the left of the FREE COINS icon. Your wildly wonderful adventure is only a tap away.
YOUR RIVERSIDE HABITAT GUIDE 🌿
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by Mini-Tiki Steph, your cheerful guide and official hippo helper. Steph needs your help restoring the Sanctuary, which currently looks more of a muddy mess than a peaceful paradise.
She’ll show you how to care for your first hippo, feed them, and give them a name as charming as their big, lovable smile. Then, it’s time to decorate their space with lush touches, splashy style, and plenty of hippo-hurrah.
FIRST THINGS FIRST: EARN THOSE PAWS 🐾
To care for your hippos, you’ll need a special currency called Paws, shaped like tiny prints. Steph will start you off with 10, so you can dive right in.
Use Paws to feed your hippos, play with them, and spruce up their marshy hideaway. Need more Paws? Head into new levels and collect more.

🌟 Snag all 3 Gold Stars in one go on a level, and you’ll trot away with 15 Paws
🔁 Activate the Multiplier to stack Paws faster than a hippo slipping into a cool river
MEET YOUR NEW CHUNKY SIDEKICK 🦛
Once your hippo is fed and settled in, it’s time to name them, explore their space, and watch them wander, snack, and splash around their new home.
Decorate with leafy plants, shady spots, and yes… tappable hidden surprises waiting to be discovered (hint: they’re watermelons). Clear out the clutter and create a habitat that feels truly hippo-tastic.
CARING FOR YOUR HIPPOS 🦛
Hippos love tasty snacks, cool water, and lots of attention. Feed them, keep their habitat fresh and lively, and they’ll reward you with happy splashes, playful stomps, plenty of heart-melting charm, and big toothy grins.
Use the NEXT STEP icon in the lower right to guide your hippo-care journey. After a little feeding and fun, you’ll unlock Zone 2, with even more wild surprises making a splash your way.
