This week we pay tribute to the “Most Caring Club”. This Club saw our recent promotion with “Animal Friends” and contacted us about how they, too, were seeking to find a new dog for one of their Club members who is struggling with cancer. We were so inspired by their “rally to the cause” that we’re happy to name them the Club of the Week! Congratulations DreamTeam!
Here is a what Judi, the Club’s Leader, had to say:
“One day Carol revealed that she had lost her only companion, her Great Dane! Her friend who helped her find the strength for walks when the chemo was tough going, someone to cuddle. She disclosed that she would love another dog in her life, but couldn’t because she couldn’t be sure that she could afford the cost of her medical bills as well as the dog’s needs As a team we decided to try to raise money together to help her achieve her wish and set a crowdfunding page in her honor.”
We are diverse team of individuals that have been thrown together unexpectedly through tripeaks. We are more than a Club, we are a community. We have become friends through this game. We have several team members that are, unfortunately, struggling with cancer or ill health. This is where as a team we feel we are unique. We almost feel that we have been thrown together as a group by fate, to support each other, like it was meant to be.
This is how we became aware of Carol’s struggles in life with cancer.
Carol is a long term team member who has to undergo chemo therapy for the rest of her life. Carol faces her struggles with her head held high, and is one of our most positive and inspirational team members. One day Carol revealed that she had lost her only companion, her Great Dane!
