Yes I am in a Club. I am the Co-Leader of Kentucky Player.
4. What city or hometown are you introducing us to?
I am introducing you to my hometown of Louisville, Kentucky!
5. How long have you lived there?
I was born in Louisville. I moved to Indiana with my parents when I was 8 years old, but I moved back to Louisville when I was 12 years old and I have lived here ever since! I am now 35 years old and have 6 children of my own!
6. What makes Louisville so special?
Louisville is special to me because this is where MOST of my family lives. This is where I’ve grown up! I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else, and having all of my children grow up in the same place I did, makes it even more special to me!
7. If you were to show a couple of out-of-towners your hometown, where would you take them?
Sharing my hometown with out-of-towners would be so much fun! There are so many great things to do in Louisville and so many sights to see. The Big Four Bridge and Waterfront Park is a MUST SEE!! We would definitely be walking or biking on the Big Four Bridge! We would check out KartKountry and the Louisville Slugger Museum! We have GREAT escape rooms at Breakout Louisville and if we are touring in town in April, then we are most definitely going to Thunder Over Louisville which is the largest annual fireworks show in North America! Our air show before the great thunder display is also hands down awesome!
8. And if you were to take them out for a meal, where would you take them and what would you suggest they order?
As far as food and restaurants are concerned here in Louisville, we have so many great options! From bars and grills to mom and pop diners, we have some amazing food! If your looking for a good bar and grill I would surely recommend Drake’s, from burgers and fries to sushi, you can wash it all down with literally any drink of choice! From soda to spirits! But if your looking for a more laid back calm atmosphere then I would definitely take you to Christi’s Cafe! There food is amazing! From an omelet with a side of biscuits and gravy, to a burger, BLT, steak, or wings! You just can’t go wrong at Christi’s Cafe!
9. What’s the one thing you wish was different about your hometown?
If I could choose one thing to be different about my hometown it would have to be the weather! In the summer when it’s hot, it’s not just hot, its extremely HUMID! So a 92 degree day would feel like 115 degrees!! And we don’t get much of spring and fall! It shoots strait from hot to cold when we go from summer to winter and vise versa when going from winter to summer we shoot strait from cold to hot! We rarely get decent temperatures!
10. Any final thoughts about where you live?
All in all, Louisville Kentucky is an amazing place to live, and to grow up in! We have the Kentucky Derby Festivals in April and May! We have the Belle of Louisville Riverboat on the Ohio River. We have the Louisville Mega Caverns where we can zip line thru caves! They have walking or tram ride tours thru the caves. Also a mega quest which is an obstacle coarse consisting of climbing, zip lining, crawling, etc. You cannot go wrong if you plan a trip here! Your days would be filled with so many fun things to do! If you’re more into educational outings, we have the Kentucky Science Center as well as the Louisville Arts Museum! We have 14 different museums on museum row here in Louisville on Main Street! I LOVE my hometown and I know if you visit you will love it too!
