Posted by In another lovely Player Tribute, today we meet Princess Leia – the REAL one, we’re pretty sure – as she introduces us to a non-Star Wars fan who would have the *perfect* name if she were a droid. But alas, she’s not — she’s just a warm, caring and very funny grandmother — AND quite the exceptional Club Leader!

2. What is the name of the person deserving recognition?

3. How do you know Kat-10?
We’re both members of our TriPeaks Solitaire Club
4. Why do you feel Kat-10 deserves recognition?
Because through the ups and downs she has been an amazing, wonderful, encouraging role model of a leader, always recognizing players. She never puts anyone down, and cheers them up during competitions. She’s funny and friendly and responds to everybody. In a way, overtime, we have all gotten to know each other and now we’re like one big family. She really lights up the room whenever we’re on the players chat room. LOL
5. If you were at an awards show, handing her a “Golden Tiki” for her amazing work as a Solitaire TriPeaks player, what would you say?
“Baba a.k.a. Kat – I’m delighted to be giving someone who is most-deserving of this award, for your impeccable leadership, your wit, wisdom and knowledge of the game, the encouragement and compliments that you bestowed to the other players to keep us all going when it looks like the odds are against us. We would not be where we are in a competition or in rank as a Club if it weren’t for you, our great leader KAT:)
6. And what joke would you tell?
“I reckon it’s time we take out the dang competition by taping our eyelids open like Tom & Jerry.” (Laughs from the Audience)
7. If you could have Kat come visit you for a day, where would you take her and what would you do?
Well, she is from the South and you can tell by the way she talks. I am Italian and can speak French so I always joke with her. And I’m also a Star Wars nerd so I would either take her to New York to see a show and an Italian dinner or we could go to Star Wars Disney so I can introduce her into my nerd world LOL
8. What else do you know about her?
She loves to bake and spend time with her grandchildren. Especially recently she became a grandmother again. Her grandchildren are everything. We love exchanging ideas or recipes and other things other than Solitaire. But she does suffer from the same physical complications that I do so we try to help each other out.
9. Are you both in the same TriPeaks Club? If so, which one?

10. Any final words you’d like to share with the rest of the Solitaire TriPeaks Community?
I would like to say that I have had several invites over the few years I’ve been playing, but I would never leave this group because of the leader we have. KAT is not just an amazing leader, a fantastic incredible player who works very hard, but also I’ve gotten to know her as a friend and although we’ve never met I feel like I’ve known her forever. Our group is not just a group it’s a family and I would never leave and she is the main reason why.
