This week we are treated to a very thorough answering of the ten questions – and it’s well worth it! You’ll find everything from budgies and wrestling to underwater basket weaving. All in all, Lunatic Fringe is more about fun than lunacy, but as you’ll see, they often go hand in hand.
1. What is the name of your Club and who is your Club Organizer?
I am the original organizer. My name is currently “Golden Kiki,” but my real name is: Kimberly ~ CA, US. And Gucci is my budgie. He is so cute.
I have also had other names like “The Witness” and “Diana” (Goddess of the Hunt) to name a couple.
2. And who is your Club Co Organizer?
I have 4 Co-Leaders: Donna, Julie, Steph and Susan. I like having 5 because it’s an odd number for voting on things. Also, being an organizer (especially when we were top 5-15 for over a year as BOOM!!! Survivors) can get to a person, me anyhow. So, even before GSN made Co-Leaders I already had them, as I’m sure other teams did, for over a year.
That way I can fling the horns at someone else and don’t have to worry about admin duties for awhile. What’s great is that all 4 Co-Leaders have different personality attributes that contribute to decision making in ways that one person can’t usually do alone. And especially Susan will tell me to breathe and relax when I get stressed as sometimes handling the players issues is like herding cats. Lastly, having people in different time zones (especially Donna in the UK) allows us to usually have at least one leader online at all times.
3. How long has your Club been around?
Our Club has been around for about 18 months. Though we are on our third name. Migrating to a new Club is kind of fun. A free project that feels a little rebellious lol.
4 What’s your motto?
Our current motto is:
But our favorite motto is:
“Underwater basket weaving. Shhh do not disturb!”
In chat in the game we joke around and talk about our days or vent. We also have a FB messenger group chat (and a second FB msgr admin chat for the leaders) where people can tell longer stories and jokes and share pictures about their lives or pictures to make us laugh. We are fortunate to have some really funny people on our team. At times I’m laughing so hard my eyes water and I can’t see the cards to play lol
5. What do you talk about in the Chat Channel?
In chat in the game we joke around and talk about our days or vent. We also have a FB messenger group chat (and a second FB msgr admin chat for the leaders) where people can tell longer stories and jokes and share pictures about their lives or pictures to make us laugh. We are fortunate to have some really funny people on our team. At times I’m laughing so hard my eyes water and I can’t see the cards to play lol.
6. What are some things you all have in common?
Most of us have know one another for a year or more. Obviously we have tripeaks in common. But also we decided together as a team to whip the perks out in 24-30 hours and then kick back and not worry about rank this summer. We are on vacation lol. It has made the game fun again and everyone on the team was burned out from worrying about rank so this relaxed schedule is nice. Though we will rise like a phoenix again!
7. How would you describe your strategy?
Keeping it fun. Keeping players a long time and allowing old players to return. That way we know and trust each other.
8. Who’s the hardest working Club Member?
Donna is always first place. For her relaxing is 150,000 Club points, lol.
But there are many if not all. The team is a great bunch of people who get along well and are all seasoned great players. So naming just one seems unfair.
9. Who’s the funniest?
We have many really hilarious members: Sara, Susan, Christina, Jess and Lizzy are the silliest. But I think Sara’s stories about her job make me laugh the hardest.
10. Is there something you’d like to say to the Solitaire TriPeaks Community? If so, what?
Remember this is a game. It is supposed to be fun. Competition is great but taking a break from the rat race of the top 15 is hardly a fall from grace. It took some time for especially some of us to slow down. But we recaptured the silliness of chat stories and the fun of the game. And when we rise up back to top 15 we will be rested. If we decide we don’t like it we will relax some more. Our goal is to have fun and make friends from around the world. Google translator is great and I’m even learning (slowly) some new languages. Realizing we are all earthlings I think is good for people everywhere. The world needs unity, peace and compassion.
