Posted by We kick off this year’s Pet Spotlight with these two bundles of joy, Otis and Hope, who began their lives in ways that no dog should. Through Jen’s hard work and confidence that she could make a difference, these two have overcome a great deal, and look to be on their way to a very bright future.
1. What is your name and how long have you been playing Solitaire TriPeaks?
Jen, I’ve been playing since 2021
2. What are the names of your dogs?
Otis & Hope
3. What kinds of dogs are they?
American Bulldog & Staffie/Aussie
4. How did Otis and Hope come into your life?
Both were special needs rescues
5. What’s the cutest thing they do?
They both had really rough starts in life and they are only full of love.
6. What’s the one thing you wish they would stop doing?
Bumping my arms when they want me to pay attention to them instead of playing Tiki Solitaire TriPeaks.
7. How do Otis and Hope encourage you to keep playing TriPeaks?
Even when things get tough, you have to have HOPE that it will get better. We are all about taking time to chill and enjoy life and TriPeaks is one way I do that.
8. What’s the funniest story you have about something they did?
Not funny, but inspiring. Both were rescued from very tough circumstances. Otis was severely abused & neglected coming into rescue with several broken bones at only 10 weeks old. Hope had been shot 3 times when she was 4 months old. Both not only survived their ordeals, they have gone on to be happy, loving dogs who bring so much joy to our family. They live totally pampered lives now & both love to snuggle up under a warm blanket.
9. Are you in a Club? If so, do they all know about Hope and Otis?
Yes, Hot Messketeers. There are several animal lovers in our group and we’ve shared pics.
10. Do you have any final words you’d like to share regarding these cuties?
Hope is working hard to become a certified therapy dog to help others know they can overcome trauma and make it through adversity
