This next one comes from Nichole, a member of one of our top Clubs, 🚧N the Zone🚧, and documents not one, but TWO ghostly encounters. One was decisively better than the other…
1. What is your name?
My name is Nichole M. Nicnac is my Tiki name.
2. Are you in a Club? If so, which one?
I am in a wonderful Club , N the Zone. It’s the best Club on here in my opinion.
3. Who’s your favorite Solitaire TriPeaks character?
I am a diehard dog lover, so obviously my favorite character is Poi. ❤️
4. Okay… now tell us your story…
I have two. One is that as a child my grandfather used to tell me that there was a resident ghost by the name of Hercumer in our house. There were strange occurrences such as doors opening and closing on their own and lights flickering. It did spook me. My Grandpa use to talk about him fondly and just laugh it off. He told me Hercumer was harmless. I outgrew being scared of him and now I remember him fondly as well.
The second story is a little bit scarier and chock full of the paranormal.
We went this past summer to Point Pleasant West Virginia to see the Mothman Museum. Point Pleasant was named by George Washington and saw some battles during the French and Indian war in the 1700s. We stayed at a very old hotel called the Lowe Hotel. It is full of beautiful antiques, freaky hardwood floors, and is very quaint and charming. It is right next to a war memorial and overlooks the Ohio River. The hotel is visited by ghost hunters frequently because it is said to be very haunted. The town was also the location of the Mothman sighting and several people died in a bridge collapse over the river. You can see the bridge from the hotel. The town is in the middle of nowhere and to add to the creepy factor, cell and internet service are spotty at best.
Everything was fine that evening as we settled in but I woke up at 3 am to footsteps in my room and faint erie laughter followed by what sounded like quiet sobs. There was a chill in the July air and a dreadful feeling in my stomach. I had to watch a Disney movie to get back to sleep. It was very scary.
5. Would you say this experience changed your life? If so, how so?
Both changed My life because I will remember them forever. The first turned into a pleasant memory of childhood, the second was so recent I’m still shook up from it. They both made me less skeptical and reinforced the belief that there is a spiritual plane out there with many unanswered questions regarding the paranormal.
6. Would you want to have the experience again?
I wouldn’t want to experience the second again, but I wouldn’t mind visiting with Hercumer again.
7. Is there anything else you’d like to add?
To close, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Fall. Halloween is coming💀🙂🎃
