She’s got a penchant for Poi, a bias for bomb defusers, a complementary Club, and you’ll “get a potch on the tuchus” if you don’t read this week’s Player Spotlight! (Not literally, of course). We’re delighted to present to you: Samantha!
1. When did you discover Solitaire TriPeaks?
Last July and have been addicted ever since!
2. Who is your favorite Solitaire TriPeaks Character?
Poi all the way! Before I joined my current team, reaching Poi was a major draw to the game. I’m uber competitive, so he created that goal achievement I crave lol.
3. What’s your favorite Booster?
Hands down, the bomb diffuser! As an orthodox Jew, I’ll be cooking and playing at the same time. Shoot, we’re cooking all of the time in our house! If I didn’t have the bomb diffuser, I’d literally blow through all of my cards!
4. Are you in a Club? If so, which one?
I’m in the best Club ever – Mama’s House. We might not be the number 1 scoring team, we are the most caring and supportive team. Our chat is always alive with everything from funny antics to supporting our team member, no friends, with all things positive. We have a nice mix of members around the world, so you’re pretty much guaranteed to find members playing at all hours.
5. What’s something you wish you knew when you first started playing?
TRIBUTES!!! While it is imperative to work up through the levels, the best bang for your coins are tributes.
6. Coffee, Tea or Other?
Tea! I love to sit down to high tea with friends! Plus, I’m in Texas, so iced tea is a summer staple.
7. What are you known for saying?
“Stop kvetching or you’ll get a potch on the tuchus!” (Roughly translates to “stop complaining and whining our your going to get little swat on the heinie”). My mom still gets this one in on me!
8. Do you have a hobby or something you enjoyed as a child that you still enjoy today? What is it?
Painting! I focus on realism, generally outdoor hunting scenes. My dad and I actually built a coffee table upon which I painted a flock of geese – 2 adults and 3 youth representing each member in our family.
9. What is your all time favorite board game (played with an actual board)?
Scrabble! Ours is a bit different… We use both the Oxford dictionary and the yiddish dictionary! I’ve also played in straight Hebrew and totally lost lol!
10. What’s your favorite holiday?
Preach/Passover. While we invent more ways to use matzo than one could possibly imagine, the holiday reminds me of the importance and happiness of our freedom, the joy of family, friends, and how much G-d loves us. We celebrate the first night until about 3am at the Rabbi’s house, complete with flying toy plagues for the kids. But seriously, matzo pizza… really awesome!
