This week we have a bit of a surprise! One tribute – many nominations! We had a total of FIVE people nominate Leslie! Instead of posting just one of the tributes, we took what we thought were the best answers from all five nominations, and mixed them all up into single answers (in most cases)! Hope you enjoy!
1. What are your names?
Caroline, Emily, Terri, Jena and Valerie!
2. What is the name of the person deserving recognition?
Leslie Parker
3. How do you know this person?
Club Leader at Hula 24/7
4. Why do you feel they deserve recognition?
Leslie is a true leader. She has created a family out of this game and I am so grateful to have gotten to know her and be a part of our amazing team. She understands life and family come first and makes our chats as much fun as the game. She talks to each player daily and cares about our lives. She personally takes the time to make our team a family not just gamers who coexist.
5. If you were at an awards show, handing them out a “Golden Tiki” for their amazing work as a Solitaire TriPeaks player, what would you say?
Caroline, Emily Teri, Jena and Valerie approach the podium. Emily clears her throat and says: “Leslie works super hard to make sure the Club is successful but also that all members genuinely get on and feel supported.” She then hands the microphone to Caroline, who says: “To one of the most inspiring women who takes a back seat in all that she does to make others spotlight players.” She then hands the mic to Terri who says: “To the most caring, fun and loving Leader.” then hands the mic to Jena who says: “This award is for the Queen Bee from all of us on the Hula 24/7 team! It is so well deserved and your dedication to us first as a team and our families and the game is second to none!” And then Jena hands the mic to Valerie who says: “I would like to present the Golden Tiki to my friend Leslie. She always lends a helping hand and is ready with great advice both in the game and in life. She has encouraged everyone on our team. She truly cares about the well being of us all. She picks us up when we are down. Her hard work and dedication to this team deserves this honor. She has made us not only friends but family.” Then Leslie receives her award begins to say something, but the music volume increases and the producers shoo everyone back behind the curtain.
6. And what joke would you tell?
We’d poke fun at her nickname, Queen B, and then probably make some crack about how she likes TriPeaks better than sex.
7. If you could have this person come visit you for a day, where would you take them and what would you do?
Sounds like all five would end up taking Leslie somewhere to drink wine or beer (Grand Rapids – Beer City, USA!”) She’d also get to go to St. Elmo’s in Indiana.
8. What else do you know about this person?
Leslie is a caregiver for her mom and very often had to travel taking her to doctor’s appointments. She always takes care of her family. She is a proud Native American woman who puts everyone else’s needs before her own. She loves country music, loves TriPeaks, and loves life. She is a mother of two and has two grandchildren. She loves to cook and make everyone laugh and feel important.
9. Are you both in the same TriPeaks Club? If so, which one?
Yes Hula 24/7
10. Any final words you’d like to share with the rest of the Solitaire TriPeaks Community?
I’m really enjoying my time playing in a supportive and motivated team. I have been on several other teams, I have found the team I belong to because of Leslie. I know the rest of the team feels the same. We are not a team, we are a family because of Leslie. We have built great relationships, as a team, due to Leslie’s leadership and love for the team. I feel blessed that she recruited me, and I have found my home! Leslie is extremely busy but always leads by example. She never asks more from us than is reasonable. I would love to see her featured because I can’t imagine anyone deserves it more.
