In today’s Player Tribute, we meet Roxanne, who begins her homage to Ginger, her Club Leader, by calling her a “monster”! ROAR!
1. What is your name?
Roxanne
2. What is the name of the person deserving recognition?
Ginger
3. How do you know Ginger?
From mutual love of Clubphillies and RealNice1!
4. Why do you feel they deserve recognition?
Ginger, affectionately known as “Monster” is a natural born teacher. That talent extends into Solitaire TriPeaks to every newcomer. She immediately befriends them, and then with the ‘patience of Job” teaches them the skills they need to be a top-notch player. Additionally she is a team builder, establishing team goals, nudging all to meet and recognizing everyone’s successes. Our team would not be where it is today without Ginger.
5. If you were at an awards show, handing Ginger a “Golden Tiki” for their amazing work as a Solitaire TriPeaks player, what would you say?
“To my friend, to my mentor, to the captain of our ship, this tribute award is for a most deserving person who works twice as hard as anyone else and never toots her own horn.”
6. And what joke would you tell?
Anything. Ginger laughs and smiles about anything. One joke I would never make is about her beloved Green Bay Packers.
7. If you could have Ginger come visit you for a day, where would you take them and what would you do?
Ginger is going to come see me one day. She promised. And we will go to the Horse museum in the Horse Capitol of the world in the middle of the beautiful Bluegrass State and top it off with a toast to our friendship with Makers Mark Bourbon 🙂
8. What else do you know about her?
I know Ginger is a hard working worker bee in Wisconsin. She has had to cope with medical issues that would make the most hardened fall to their knees, but she never complains. She has a special needs adult son who is the center of her life and she protects like the lioness she is. She loves to travel and see the sights, having seen The world acclaimed Noah’s Ark in Kentucky even before I saw it… and it is only 40 miles from me. After her son, Ginger loves Solitaire, playing for countless hours. How she manages all she does is beyond me. An incredible woman.
9. Are you both in the same TriPeaks Club? If so, which one?
Yes Clubphilly
10. Any final words you’d like to share with the rest of the Solitaire TriPeaks Community?
Ginger reached out to me at a time I needed it most. She took me under her wing and showed me how to be a good co-leader. I learned skills I can apply to many aspects of leadership on my own life, not solely a card game. She is inspiring, caring, and other centered, walking humbly through her life, going largely unrecognized. She deserves this award and many more like it. Ginger is my hero!
