Posted by As we wrap up this year’s Isle of Love Spotlight series, we draw our attention back to the two lovebirds who met on Tiki Solitaire, fell in love, and got married! It warms our heart to know that out of this game a love grew.
1. Welcome back! Your story is one of our favorites! First off – are you both still in the same Club? Remind us which one.
We both still play on Island Healani. Dustin has been there almost 4 years and I’ve been there 3 1/2 years.
2. Nice! I think we can still call you “newlyweds”, right? What have you two lovebirds been up to lately?
Well, playing on a top 5 Legend team takes a lot of our spare time, lol. But we enjoy going to Iowa Hawkeye games, looking forward to a NASCAR race this summer, and we recently bought a house. We also play with our 3 cats who can be quite entertaining 🙂
3. A house, eh? Was it “move-in ready” or have you been watching a lot of YouTube videos and learning new skills?
Pretty much move in ready… just decorating it with our own style.
4. Very nice. And cats! Aww! What are their names? And can you share a few pictures?
Zoey is a calico princess. Cash is an orange tabby that wandered through the yard at our old place and claimed us, and Wolf is our newest addition, he looks like a mini gray wolf.
5. Cuteness overload! Now that you’ve had some experience being married, what advice would you give to a couple who’d just married?
Be sure to communicate with each other, and remember if times get tough there are good times ahead.
6. Have either of you changed or adapted in ways you didn’t think you would?
Yeah, we take naps in order to play at reset and still get up for work in the morning.
7. What’s been the most surprising thing you’ve discovered?
That we trusted out instincts about each other and we are truly happy.
8. Aww! That is so awesome to hear. And finally – how has your Club contributed to your happiness?
If not for the Club, we would have never met. They’ve supported us and even gave us a wedding gift. The Club leader is one of my greatest friends and we both also have made many friends from all over the world on the team.
